WCM-Q community with current and valid institutional IDs have access to a wide range of library resources and borrowing privileges, including:

  • Borrowing (physical collections)
  • Reference Consultation
  • Publication Services
  • Training
  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Reading Room Facilities:

  • 24/7 study space (students only - after business hours)
  • Equipment rentals (laptop chargers, headphones, recording kits, etc.)
  • Charging stations for laptop and mobile devices
  • Computer workstations
  • Self-checkout machine
  • Book drop box (book return box outside)

Login to MyAccount - View and renew items you have checked out (but are not yet overdue), as well as save preferred catalog searches.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) - Place requests for items not available through the Library catalog or databases.

SEARCH - This is the best place to begin searching for books, ebooks, and media in the WCM-Q Library collection. This is the same search as the one on the homepage.

Off Campus / Electronic Access

All of the eLibrary's electronic resources are  available to WCM-Q users from any location - journals, books, databases and more! Whether you are studying or doing research from home, at the clinic, or anywhere with an Internet connection, the following steps will allow you to access all of these electronic resources:

  • Go to the Health Sciences Library website
  • Find the resource you want to access
  • Click on the link
  • At this point, you will be prompted to login for off-campus access (unless it is a freely available resource which anyone can access)
  • Enter your campus ID* and password

*Your campus ID is the first part of your Cornell email address (e.g. abc1234). If you have any questions about your campus ID or password, please contact the IT Helpdesk at 4492-8711 or open a ticket here.

Education City Libraries

In accordance with the Education City (EC) library lending initiative, all of EC's schools and colleges have agreed to reciprocally loan material to each other's faculty, staff and students.


Health Sciences Library's procedures to borrow from another EC library:

  • All requests for items belonging to another EC library must be made through ILL
  • An email will be sent to you once the item has been received by the library and is available for pickup.
  • The borrower is responsible for returning the item or requesting a renewal to the Reading Room within the allotted time period.
