Publication Services

This Guide provides an overview of the publication services offered by the Health Sciences Library.

Journal Selection Assistance

We can guide you on journal selection, whether choosing an appropriate journal for your research, investigating new publishing venues, or avoiding submission to predatory journals.

Typical inquiries might ask us to:

  • Investigate the credibility of individual journal titles, publishing houses, conferences, or “invitations to publish”
  • Make recommendations based on our assessment of the publishing practices of journals
  • Find a variety of citation metrics for individual journals and identify high-ranking journals in particular subject areas
  • Provide instruction in the use of tools to match your paper to possible journals.
