From Deposit to Discovery: How Libraries Can Promote Open Science through Institutional Repositories
Driven by a growing demand for open access to research outputs, the Open Science movement has been reshaping the landscape of scholarly communication. Libraries play a pivotal role in advancing Open Science by facilitating access to research and ensuring the preservation and discoverability of scholarly resources.
This presentation will explore how to harness institutional scholarship repositories to enhance the visibility and impact of research, highlighting the significance of Open Science in the health information context. Further, it will cover strategies for maximizing the discoverability of research outputs, including integration with other platforms or tools, such as ORCID, and applying principles such as FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) to the design and management of repositories.
